Allies

Abolish Private Prisons has had the privilege of working directly with or parallel to great individuals and organizations -- all sharing the goal of reforming the criminal justice system.

African American Christian Clergy Association

The African American Christian Clergy Coalition is led by Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr. and seeks to promote unity among African American Christian Clergy in order that individual lives will be enriched, diverse churches and ministries will be strengthened, and the unique needs of the African American community will be addressed.

Abolish Private Prisons worked with AACCC, Dr. Stewart, and Jannah Scott to publish an article tracing the path between slavery and private, for-profit prisons in the Phoenix-area print newspaper by and for African Americans, Arizona Informant. Additionally, APP and AACCC co-sponsored an ad in the newspaper announcing the partnership.
